About Our Tutors
Our instructors are exceptional women and men who have a proven record of working effectively with students.
The following are brief sketches of some of our tutors:
Adam - Duke University graduate (summa cum laude) and Fulbright Scholar. He was a ninth grade English teacher in a public school in Massachusetts, where he received three parent-sponsored gold star awards for excellence in teaching. He currently is pursuing a Ph.D. at Columbia University.
Caroline - Harvard University graduate (Phi Beta Kappa). She spent a year in the Peace Corp, during which time she taught English to teenagers in Latin America. She has been tutoring for five years.
Roy - Graduated with distinction from University of Michigan. He taught 6th and 7th grade math as a middle school teacher for three years in a NYC intermediate school through Teach for America. In his final year he was responsible for advising and supporting twenty first-year math teachers.
Wendy - She is an University of Pennsylvania graduate and earned a M.S. in Teaching Elementary Education. She has been teaching preschool through fourth grade in New York City for five years and currently is a first grade teacher.
